CHARLOTTE CHAMPAGNE
Based in Brussels, Charlotte Champagne reinterprets the historical poison ring as a contemporary architectural object, dedicated to structural elegance and the power of the unspoken. Redefining this ancestral jewel, each piece contains a secret compartment: a symbolic space dedicated to mystery, autonomy, and inner sovereignty.
"My work explores the relationship between power and intimacy. Through the poison ring, historically associated with secrecy, protection, and transgression, I create wearable architectural objects that question the boundaries between external structure and inner truth. Influenced by sacred geometry, classical proportions, and minimalist architecture, my work transforms jewelry into micro-architecture. The ring then becomes a temple for oneself. In a contemporary society where visibility is constant, my pieces advocate for opacity, interiority, and sovereignty. The poison ring is no longer a weapon: it becomes a talisman."
